Here’s another great reason to move into Tower Grove East. The owner of the Scottish Arms located on Sarah in the CWE is opening a second place where Pestalozzi Place used to be.

Chef Brendan Noonan and owner Ally Nisbet plan to re-open the doors at the beginning of 2008. It will be located at the corner of Virginian and Pestalozzi.

The restaurant will be a high quality neighborhood bistro with a lovely artistic interior serving seasonal American cuisine backed by European Tradition.

They will be preparing a variety of cured meats and charcuterie in-house as well as highlighting fine meats and cheeses from Europe and America.

Check out both of these listings, each within easy walking distance of the new restaurant and Tower Grove Park

A couple years ago I helped my clients buy this house. Their intention was to rehab it and live there. In the middle of their renovation they were transferred to FL. They finished the renovation according their specs and it is beautiful. Recently I took the previous owner into see the difference and the only thing she said the whole time she was inside was “OH, MY GOD!” I’m not kidding, that’s all she said over and over for about a half an hour. The current owners have done everything the previous owner had ever wanted to do it. It required taking the whole place down to the studs and starting with the shell. It is really a very thoughtful renovation which I will not begin to describe. This one that you will need to experience. Seriously, even if you are not looking to buy a house come see this one. If you ever think you may want to renovate a city property, this house will should set the standard.

The sellers are realistic and understand the current market, they have priced it aggressively at 214,900. They are taking a loss but their goal is to sell it before winter. It is currently listed MLS EXEMPT which means you won’t find it on Realtor.com or any auto searches that your agent has you set up on. If you are an agent, we are cooperating with other brokers and are paying out 3% to a buyer’s agent.

There will be an OPEN HOUSE this Sunday 7 October, 2007 from 1-3PM and it will be right around the corner from the Shaw Art Fair on Flora. Stop by and check it out. You will be impressed!

Thank you Geoff for the pictures!

First Annual Art Fix Art Auction Benefitting Rebuilding Together-STL

4 October 07

Art Fix 2007

We have been working hard on this auction all year at Rebuilding Together and it is really shaping up to be a great event. It will be at the FK Photography Studio on Locust in the Locust Business District. A $35 donation gets you in the door and after that the food and drinks are free. There will also be FREE valet parking in a secured parking lot.

Bailey’s Chocolate Bar, Rooster Cafe, Butler’s Panty, Kirk’s Traveling Kitchen, Niche, Moxy and Vin de Set are preparing plenty of samples for the 500 attendees we expect. Local St. Louis artists (and a few from afar) are donating over 40 pieces of original work to be silently auctioned throughout the night. In addition we have been collecting donated auction items including a professional photo shoot, a single engine plane ride around the city, a week’s stay in Mexico, Coach purses, a pearl necklace and bracelet set, restaurant gift certificates, a tasting for 8 at Schlafly, sports tickets and memorabilia and much, much more.

So mark your calendars for Saturday, 10 November 2007. Doors open at 7pm. Purchase tickets online at the ArtFix website. (Generously donated by TOKY Branding & Design)
